This is Vinny Whitly, President CWA Local 1150.  It’s Thursday, February18th at 4 pm.  Applications for the CWA Beirne Scholarship are available online. They are due in by March 31st.  New benefit enrollment is starting on February 24th.   You will be able to select your payroll deduction options for your premiums.
There will also be an option for Care Plus Supplemental coverage.  More information regarding this coverage will be posted on the website under benefits.  The CWA/AT&T contracts are available.  Check with your shop steward if you not received one yet.  The next surplus announcement for surplus is March 15th.  If our local is affected, we will let you know.  Thank you for calling.

This is Vinny Whitley, President CWA Local 1150.  It’s Monday, Nov 2nd at 3 pm.  Tomorrow, November 3rd, is Election day.  In NJ, the CWA is recommending members vote for John Corzine for Govenor.  In NYC we are backing Bill Thompson for Mayor and John Liu for Comptroller.  Turnout is expected to be light so it is very important that we all get out and vote.  Thank you for calling.

This is Vinny Whitley, Presiden,t CWA Local 1150.  It’s Monday, October 5th at 3 pm.  The Contract between CWA and AT&T Legacy T has been ratified by a 2 to 1 vote.  There will be a NJ Statewide Alliance Fall Education Fair on October 28th in Bedminster, NJ from 10 AM to 2 PM.  Thank you for calling.

This is Vinny Whitley, President, CWA Local 1150.  It’s Monday, Sept 28th, 2009 at 3 PM.  The ballots for the CWA /AT&T Agreement have been counted. Ninety-two percent of the members that voted, voted NOT to ratify the contract.  I have reported the numbers to Washington and all Locals under this contract must have their votes in by Friday, October 2nd at 4 PM.  We should know by Monday, October 5th of the National’s results.  Thank you for calling

This is Vinny Whitley, President CWA Local 1150.  It’s Wednesday Sept 16, 2009 at 5:30 pm.  Tomorrow we will be holding a membership/ contract ratification meeting for Northern NJ.  It will be at the Double Tree Hotel 200 Atrium Drive in Somerset, NJ from 5 pm to 7:30 pm.  The NY meeting will be on Tuesday, September 22nd at 6 Harrison Street from 8 am to 6:30 pm.  The Long Island meeting will be on Wednesday, September 23rd at the Hamptons Inn on Commack road in Commack Long Island from 2 pm to 7 pm.  The ballots will be counted on Friday, September 25th.  I will update the tape with the results.  Thank you for calling.

This is Vinny Whitley, President, CWA Local 1150.  It's Wednesday, September 9th, 2009 at 3 PM.  We have set the dates for the membership eetings in New York and New Jersey.  The NJ meeting will be September 16th at the East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company #1 in East Windsor, NJ.  The address is 51 One Mile Road.  The New York meeting will be on September 22nd in the City at 6 Harrison Street.  Executive Board members wil be at those locations from 8 AM to 6 PM..  We will discuss the tentative agreement and take the ratification vote at that time.  We will also be setting up dates for Northern NJ and Long Island, NY.  I will update the tape when I have those dates.  Thank you for calling.
